Charles Rice-González, born in Puerto Rico and reared in the Bronx, received an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College. He has attended the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and worked with writers David Leavitt, Rebecca Brown, and Stacey D'Erasmo. The author is a public relations and marketing specialist in the area of Latino arts and culture. He lives in New York.
